On April 24, the POUS2026 conference was held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Rzeszów University of Technology, where faculty members from the Department of Complex Systems presented the results of their research.

The aim of the conference is to showcase collaboration between universities and industry, with a particular focus on current trends in software design for measurement and control devices and systems. The conference will facilitate the exchange of experiences among device and software manufacturers, as well as system integrators and prototype designers.

Paweł Kuraś, PhD. Eng., presented the results of research on the impact of containerization on accelerating software release cycles. The analysis, conducted jointly with Karol Dudek, showed that cloud-native technologies enable up to a 200-fold increase in deployment frequency while simultaneously improving system stability. The study’s findings confirm that the highest performance is achieved through the synergy of CI/CD automation and a mature organizational culture.

Bartosz Kowal, M.Sc. (Eng.), presented the results of research on the occurrence of long-range dependencies and statistical self-similarity in system data, using the example of cache bytes data in Microsoft Windows systems. The starting point is the assumption that long-range statistical dependencies—where previous states of the system influence its behavior at subsequent moments—can also manifest in computer systems.
