Michał Piętal, PhD
PCI Project Manager, Bioinformatician, Biostatistician
Department of Complex Systems, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Rzeszow University of Technology. A graduate of the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, University of Warsaw (MSc) and the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (PhD). Then, twice a postdoctoral fellow (2014 - 2015 and 2017 - 2019) at the Center for New Technologies, University of Warsaw. Since 2019, he has been associated with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Warsaw University of Technology. Author of scientific publications in the field of bioinformatics.

Marta Sochacka-Piętal, PhD
Microbiologist
A graduate of the Faculty of Biology, University of Warsaw, where she defended her master's (2002) and doctoral (2008) thesis. Then, she worked at the Faculty of Agriculture and Biology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Since 2010, associated with the Faculty of Chemistry at the Rzeszow University of Technology. Aa author of scientific publications on genetics and microbiology. The head of PCI grant entitled: "Bacillus sp. bacteriocins: optimization of properties and modifications increasing commercial potential". (N2_030), H-Index equal to 5.

Magdalena Szeliga, PhD
Chemical technologist
Research Associate at the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Faculty of Chemistry, Rzeszow University of Technology. She received her Ph.D. degree in chemical sciences in the discipline: chemical technology, in 2019. Currently, Manager of the MINIATURA Grant entitled "Identification of hellebore genes encoding enzymes of steroid alkaloid biosynthesis" and a PCI grant entitled "Rhaponticum carthamoides extract as a natural plant growth promoter (N3_027).

Małgorzata Semik, MSc
Engineering and technical personnel
Long-term employee of the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Faculty of Chemistry, Rzeszow University of Technology. She has participated in the preparation of numerous classes, as well as assisted in the research and R&D activities of the Department, in particular, she has been the contractor of various grants (including PCI grants).

Urszula M. Jankiewicz, PhD, DSc
Biochemist
Habilitation (obtained in 2016) dissertation title: "Rhizosphere chitinolytic bacteria and evaluation of their usefulness for biological control of phytopathogenic mold fungi". Grant manager, including "Characterization and importance of Stenotrophomonas maltophilia hydrolases in biological control of crop plants" (NCN OPUS). Research fellow at the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology, Faculty of Agriculture and Biology, Warsaw University of Life Sciences. H-index equal to 13.

Paweł K. Bereś, PhD, DSc
Expert on Plant Protection
A graduate of 5th High School in Rzeszów, then Faculty of Economics at University of Life Sciences. Afterwards obtained next scientific degrees: Ph.D. and DSc. (2009, 2014 respectively). Main scientific interests: plant protection, entomology. Employed at the Institute of Plant Protection - National Research Institute (Branch Office in Rzeszów), since 2004 as a professor. An author of numerous publications in the field of agriculture which often use statistics, biostatistics or other advanced methods of data analysis. H-index equal to 13.

Kamil Pikuła, BEng
Trainee - Bioinformatician / Biostatistician
Graduated from the Computer Science Department of the State School of Technology and Economics in Jarosław.  Currently a student of II degree studies in the field of Informatics, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Rzeszow University of Technology.  Kamil has numerous certificates of the industry (IT), obtained outside studies (including ITIL) and extensive professional experience.

Amit Kumar Halder, PhD
QSAR Technology Expert
Completed his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from Jadavpur University, India in 2016. He worked as a Post-Doctoral researcher in University of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa for one year (2016-2017). From 2017, he has been associated with LAQV/REQUIMTE of University of Porto as a Post-Doctoral investigator under supervision of Prof. Maria Natalia D. S. Cordeiro. Dr. Halder’s specialization is computational chemistry, synthetic medicinal chemistry and cancer biology. Apart from that he also gained experience in the development of cheminformatic open access tools. So far, he authored 53 international publications and 4 book chapters.
