RaP STEAM – robotics and programming in primary schools in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship

The project is implemented by a consortium comprising: the Podkarpackie Voivodeship – Podkarpackie Provincial Institutions Complex in Rzeszów, Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology, Grodzisko Dolne Municipality, and the Provincial Cultural Center in Rzeszów.

 The aim of the project is to improve the quality and effectiveness of educational services offered in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, focused on developing important labor market skills in robotics and programming among primary school students between May 2023 and December 2029.

The project plans to introduce a pedagogical innovation in primary schools concerning the teaching of computer science in grades 4-8 using elements of educational robotics and extracurricular classes in educational robotics. Equipment necessary for the implementation of the project's tasks and objectives will be purchased for training centers and school laboratories; substantive support will be provided for teachers and school management staff; extracurricular classes in educational robotics and robot programming will be organized in schools for students; students and teachers will be prepared for robotics competitions; robotics camps and workshops promoting robotics, programming, and STEAM education will be organized for students.

The project will be used by public and private primary schools in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship teaching grades 4-8 that have expressed their willingness to participate in the project, as well as their students, teachers, and management staff.
