The international scientific conference entitled as Economic and Societal Challenges of the European Economy follows the long tradition of conferences on the topics of economic policy of the EU member states, organised by the Silesian University in Opava, School of Business Administration in Karvina, Department of Economics and Public Administration together with the Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Economics, Department of Economic Policy and later, PRIGO University. This year's conference reflects the actual situation in the European and global economy. The aim of the conference is to discuss not only the current state of the European economy, influenced by the pandemics, but also its development in the following years and the possible future challenges we might have to face and cope with.
In 2022, conference was organized by the Silesian University in Opava, School of Business Administration in Karviná, Department of Economics and Public Administration and is held at Zámeček Petrovice (Chateau Petrovice) in Petrovice u Karviné from 13th to 15th September.
During the conference, prof. Dominik Strzałka presented a paper titled: Risks, challenges and opportunities – cybersecurity in SME’s. Case study about Poland.
