By decision of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland dated July 24, 2025, after reviewing application P.442763, a patent was granted to Rzeszów University of Technology for the invention titled Device for remote document signing.
The invention is characterized in that first, a sheet of paper containing a document to be signed is placed on the worktop (2) of the device, then the document is scanned using a scanning head (9), after which the image is sent to a computer (19) and displayed on its screen, then the tip of a capacitive stylus (20) is touched to the computer screen (19) and lines are drawn, including the lines constituting the signature, and information about the position of the stylus (19) in relation to the scanned document displayed on the computer screen (18) is sent, while drawing the lines and using the first (3), second (5) and third (7) electromechanical guides, the writing tip of the writing instrument (8) is positioned directly above the document in a place corresponding to the position in which the contact of the conductive tip of the stylus (19) with the document scan displayed on the touch screen began, then the conductive tip of the writing instrument (8) is lowered and the movement made by the stylus (19) touching the screen is reproduced, thus making a signature on the screen original document, whereby during the signature process, the document fragment on which the signature is being made is scanned with a scanning head (9), and the scanned image of this fragment is sent via a communication module to a computer (18) and overlaid on the image of the scanned document.
