As part of the project entitled Oxford Nanopore Technology: enzyme optimization and genomic data analysis for commercial applications, series of experiments involving work in a biochemical laboratory related to sequencing bacterial strains using Oxford Nanopore technology was assumed. The first sequencing with this method at Rzeszów University of Technology will be performed on 17-23.06.2020 Therefore, on 08.06.20 a meeting for preparing the details of experiment took place. The meeting was attended by PhD Marta Sochacka-Piętal and MSc Małgorzata Semik (Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics / WCh PRz), MSc Michał Wroński (Department of Complex Systems / WEiI PRz), MSc Jan Gawor, Laboratory of DNA Sequencing and Oligonucleotide Synthesis, Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics PAN, Warsaw. All necessary technical details regarding the experiment, work schedule, technical and sanitary requirements related to the COVID-19 epidemic were discussed.

The full implementation of the experiment (work in a wet and dry laboratory) will take place on 17-19.06 and 22-23.06 in Rzeszów.
