On October 29th (Tuesday) at 6:00 PM, downtown in Rzeszów (TBD), another “DataScience Rzeszów” Meetup will take place. The Meetup-like meeting formula is designed such that the Organizer (the Sponsor - VirtusLab) provides the adequate room, drinks and two distinct presentations will take place. After the presentations, it is possible to stay and talk to all parties, as a standard networking. Another co-organizer of the Meetup is Michał Piętal, PhD, Assistant Professor from the Department of Complex Systems, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Rzeszów University of Technology.
During the said Tuesday Meetup, two presentations are planned:
- Piotr Skalski, VirtusLab: “Can we trust ML models? Models’ interpretation in the area of Computer Vision"
- Ewa Rejwer, PhD, Faculty of Mathematics and Applied Physics, Rzeszów University of Technology: "Data engineering and analysis - novel faculty at Rzeszów University of Technology"
Participation in the Meetup does not imply any costs. However, the organizer (VirtusLab) kindly asks for the registration on the Meetup site, in order to ensure the reservation of room of adequate size.

Independently, the upcoming Meetup event will be an informal “inauguration” of the new faculty in Rzeszów University of Technology: "Data engineering and analysis”, which was launched for the very first time, on Oct 1st. In general, Meetup-like events are the convenient areas for exchanging thoughts between the research and the industry, they are fully open on informaticians already working in some companies, relevant faculty employees, students but also, any other persons who are simply interested by the topic area, covered by the Meetup. In the end, it is worth noting, that the classes on the novel faculty “Data engineering and analysis”, have been conducted jointly by both, researchers from the Faculty of Mathematics and Applied Physics, but also, the researchers from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Rzeszów University of Technology.
